New Paths East Section

Saffron Walden Common had a muddy path leading from the car park across to the other side, so a tender was issued for a self binding gravel path, partially no dig with lighting to assist passage in the dark winter evenings.

But with a run of large mature trees, sections were no dig, with a hand dug cable run for the lighting columns

By hand digging, we avoided any major roots and works were overseen by a Tree Protection Officer.

The finished path, using Breedon Gravel self binding gravel in Golden Amber colour.

The finished path, with sides built up to suit the no dig situation and the lamps we installed and integrated in to the parks electrical box with daylight sensors and timers
